Chapter 1
#The Night When DEVIL born#

Part 1:
The farm house horror 🏡
-------------/////////------------

Rain poured endlessly from the sky.

The world outside glittered beneath flashes of lightning, while thunder rolled across the heavens as if something ancient had awakened.

She gently placed her hand on her swollen belly.

A soft smile appeared on her face.

"I think... he just kicked."

Her husband smiled without looking up.

"Hmm..."

She frowned playfully.

"You're not paying attention to me at all. Your son is going to be angry with you."

He chuckled.

"And how do you know it's a he?"

"Maybe she will be angry with you instead... You're disturbing her papa while he's working."

Before either of them could laugh...

BOOOOM!!

A deafening clap of thunder shook the entire house.

The lights flickered.

Her smile slowly disappeared.

For some reason...

The baby's movements had suddenly stopped.

She looked toward the window.

Something didn't feel right.

Scene 2

The rain grew heavier.

The storm swallowed the jungle in complete darkness.

Hidden among the trees stood an old, abandoned farmhouse.

Inside...

A terrified woman sat on the floor, shivering uncontrollably.

Her clothes were soaked.

Her breathing was uneven.

She had locked the wooden door from the inside, yet her eyes remained fixed on it...

As if she knew...

It wouldn't protect her for long.

Then...

Knock...

She froze.

Knock... Knock...

Her heartbeat quickened.

A voice echoed from the other side of the door.

A horrifying blend of a little girl's innocence... and a deep man's growl.

"Maaamma..."

A pause.

"It's me..."

"Your little daughter..."

Silence.

Then-

BOOOOOM!!

The wooden door exploded inward in a single blow.

The woman let out a horrifying scream...

I Survive...

I never imagined I'd have so many friends...

Friends who would never judge me.

Or leave me alone.

"Excuse me, Madam Ghost... could you please turn around? I'm taking a shower!"

Honestly... these ghosts have absolutely no sense of privacy.

"Why are you yelling in the bathroom, Maya?" another voice asked.

"Oh, stop acting like my mom, you little piece of transparent trash."

The ghost rolled her eyes.

"Rude."

"Truth hurts."

By the way...

I'm Yogamaya.

And yes...

I can see ghosts.

Since childhood.

So, unlike everyone else...

I've never really been alone.

People think I'd scream every time I see a horrifying face appear out of nowhere.

Well... I did.

At first.

Now?

It's just another Tuesday.

Some of them are actually my best friends. They don't harm me.

Though I seriously wish they took a bath once in a while.

Even after death, their fashion sense-and hygiene-are absolutely terrible.

And... don't laugh...

I once ghosted a ghost who used to hang around near my college.

Why?

Because I kind of have a crush on another one who lives on the old banyan tree beside my neighbour's house.

I know...

It's embarrassing.

I'm still too shy to confess.

But...

It's not always this funny.

Some people say I'm blessed.

Others say I'm cursed.

Maybe they're both right.

I lost my parents when I was very young.

Sometimes I wonder...

Was it just fate?

Or was something far darker following me from the very beginning?

There are moments...

Rare moments...

When I feel a presence that doesn't belong among the spirits I know.

A suffocating...

Malicious...

Unnatural darkness.

It doesn't speak.

It doesn't show itself.

Yet its presence alone makes my heart freeze.

The ghosts around me become silent whenever that feeling appears.

As if...

Even they are afraid.

And somewhere deep inside...

I know...

One day...

I'll have to find out what that darkness really is.

Before it finds me.

They hurried toward the basement.

"I... I can't walk anymore..." she cried, clutching her stomach. "It hurts... so much..."

"Just a few more steps," Prashant said, supporting her. "The car is right there. We'll be at the hospital in a few minutes. Please... hold on."

"I can't... I can't..." she screamed in agony.

He opened the car door and carefully helped her inside.

"It's only three kilometers. I'll drive as fast as I can."

The engine roared to life.

FM Radio 📻 :

"The India Meteorological Department has reported that a powerful cyclonic system over the Bay of Bengal is rapidly intensifying. Originating as a low-pressure area over the Andaman Sea, it is expected to strengthen into a super cyclonic storm before making landfall near Paradeep, Odisha. Residents are advised to remain indoors and avoid unnecessary travel..."

Rain lashed against the windshield.

Then-

SCREEECH!

Prashant slammed on the brakes.

A massive tree branch 🪾 had crashed across the road, completely blocking it.

"Damn it... Why today...?" he muttered, punching the steering wheel.

Behind him, his wife cried out in unbearable pain.

"Did... did we reach the hospital🏥 ?"

"No... Stay with me."

He jumped out into the raging storm.

"Help! Somebody, please! I need help moving this branch!"

A security guard, struggling against the wind with an umbrella, shouted from a nearby building.

"Sir! Have you lost your mind? This cyclone has just begun! Nobody's coming out in this weather."

He pointed toward the fallen branch.

"That tree is far too heavy. Even the ODRAF rescue team will be needed to clear it."

"My wife is pregnant," Prashant pleaded. "She's in severe pain. Please... she needs to get to a hospital."

The guard's expression softened.

"Take the Long Junction Highway. It's in the opposite direction-just one kilometer longer. There's a 24-hour hospital on that route."

"Really? Thank you!"

Prashant rushed back into the car.

As he started the engine, the guard called out once more.

"Wait!"

Prashant rolled down the window.

"Whatever happens... don't stop anywhere on that road."

"Why?"

The guard hesitated.

"People say... it's haunted."

A flash of lightning split the sky.

Before Prashant could ask another question, the guard hurried back inside the building.

His wife screamed again.

"Please... drive faster... I can't bear it anymore..."

"I'm trying. Just... two more kilometers."

The car disappeared into the rain.

FM Radio 📻 - Radio Chocolate🍫 104 FM

"ଏଇ ବର୍ଷାଭିଜା ରାତିରେ, ଆମ ଶ୍ରୋତାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଗୀତ..."

The old song began to play.
ସ୍ମୃତି... , ଏକ ଅଙ୍କା ବଙ୍କା ନଇ...
(ଫିଲ୍ମ : ଧାଉଳି ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସ)

The rain grew heavier.

The wipers moved furiously, barely clearing the windshield.

Thunder echoed across the empty highway.

The music continued softly in the background.

Then...

A voice.

"...Stop."

Prashant frowned.

"...Stop."

This time it was louder.

"I said...

STOP THE CAR🚗 ."

The voice was impossible to describe.

It wasn't a man's.

It wasn't a woman's.

It sounded like dozens of voices speaking together, twisted into one horrifying command.

Prashant's foot instinctively slammed on the brakes.

The car rolled to a halt.

The radio continued playing softly.

His hands trembled on the steering wheel.

"What happened?" he whispered.

His wife slowly turned toward him.

Her head tilted unnaturally.

Her eyes stared without blinking.

When she spoke...

it was no longer her voice.

"Unlock... the door."

Prashant forced a nervous smile.

"Why, dear?
The hospital is only six hundred meters away."

Her lips stretched into an impossible smile.

Her voice became deeper... colder...

"I said... unlock the door. Right. Now."

Part 4
Farmhouse horror 🏡 🏠
------//////////////////----------

A deafening clap of thunder shattered the silence.
I jolted awake.
My heart was racing, and cold sweat drenched my body.

Something was wrong...

That dream...

The overwhelming negative energy I felt wasn't ordinary.
A familiar voice echoed from the corner of my room.

"Finally... I managed to scare you, my dear." - - (Ghost Harana)

I let out an annoyed sigh.

"Oh, shut up, you transparent idiot. You couldn't scare me even if your entire ghost fraternity held a meeting and came after me."

The ghost (harana) pouted.
"That was rude."

"Now get lost. I'm thinking."

The ghosts I lived with weren't evil. They had been around me ever since I was a child. They were more like irritating roommates than terrifying spirits.

But this...

This feeling was different.
It wasn't the harmless presence I had grown used to all my life.

It was darker.

Heavier.

A suffocating, malicious energy...

And somehow...
I knew it wasn't far away 😕 .
